MSc Cross-Cultural Marketing and Negotiation

     Learning Objectives

The Cross-Cultural Marketing and Negotiation programme equips students with those skills needed in marketing and negotiation in an international environment.

By adding a truly cross-cultural perspective to their business education, this programme prepares students to communicate with culturally diverse business partners as well as to cooperate in, and to run successfully multi-cultural working groups.

     Who should apply ?

  • Bachelor’s degree/ French Licence or equivalent,
  • HND or equivalent two-year degree plus at least 5 years relevant experience,
  • Students with non-relevant qualifications may be asked to complete a short portfolio prior to
    commencing the course,
  • Other applicants with extensive industry experience will be considered on an individual basis.

     Teaching format

  • Two academic semesters (September - January and January - May) on the Campus of Caen, Normandy, France including :
    • Core Modules: International Business Environment Negotiation in Cross-Cultural Context, Marketing in Cross-Cultural Context, Intercultural Processes in Human Interaction and Region Specific Issues (Options: Asia Pacific, North America, South America...)
    • Other Compulsory Modules: Induction, Seminar, Foreign Language (French, German,Spanish, Chinese... elective), Career Management, Methodology and Information Literacy
    • Monitored Junior Consultancy Project (5 weeks): Cross-Cultural Marketing and Communication
    • Call for tenders (2 weeks): Cross-Cultural Negotiation and Communication
    • Entrepreneurial Project (throughout the academic year): sustainable development in a Cross-Cultural Context
    • Cross-Cultural Negotiation Experience (2 weeks) in conjunction with partner universities
  • Work Placement: Minimum of 5 months: June - December (to be served anywhere in the world)
  • 20,000 word dissertation
  • The language of instruction and assessment is English.

     Opportunities

The Master’s Degree in Cross-Cultural Marketing and Negotiation meets the demands of professionals in the area of higher education. After a period of integration, future graduates will be able to target a variety of career opportunities such as:

     Degree / award

Upon the successful completion of the programme, students obtain an “MSc in Cross-Cultural Marketing and Negotiation” at the Normandy Business School accredited by the French Conférence des Grandes Ecoles.

     Tuition

  • Registration fees: € 100
  • Tuition fees for EU Citizens: € 7 700
  • Tuition fees for non-EU Citizens: € 9 900
  • Alumni association fee: € 300

     Admission procedure

  • The admission decision is taken after close evaluation of the application form including CV, personal statement and reference letters.
  • English language requirement: TOEIC 790 or TOEFL CBT 230/IBT 88 or IELTS 6 overall or equivalent, or business degree obtained in an English-speaking institution.
  • Application Deadline:
    • 1st session: April 2, 2012
    • 2nd session: July 2, 2012
