MSc International Events Management
Learning Objectives
To develop the skills and knowledge required to take on a position of responsibility in the events industry.
The Master’s Degree in International Events Management in partnership with the University of Brighton is designed to train managers capable of managing an event from its conception to its completion from both a marketing and an operational viewpoint. Based in Deauville and taught entirely in English, this programme will offer you high-quality teaching and will lead you to meet people working in event-related communication thanks to lectures, business experiences and residential seminars (Paris and Las Vegas).

Who should apply ?
- BA Honours degree or equivalent / Master 1, Licence,
- HND / BTS / DUT / Diplomado or equivalent plus at least 5 years relevant experience,
- Students with non-relevant qualifications may be asked to complete a short portfolio prior to starting the course,
- Other applicants with extensive industry experience will be considered on an individual basis.
Teaching format
Attendance Pattern
Full Time 15 months, starting September in Deauville, Normandy, France.
- Semester 1 (September - January)
- Semester 2 (February - May)
- Semester 3 (June - December)
- Work placement (5 months minimum)
- Dissertation or integrative business project
- The MSc International Events Management is entirely taught in English by faculty from the University of Brighton (UK), the Normandy Business School and professionals from the events industry.

Business skills
Additional courses in cooperation with professionals of the events industry: bid answering, press relations, road show in event’s communication, press review on the events business, cross-cultural management, sales technics, managing stress, presentation technics…
- Field project : a 5-week field project dealing with events organization, found and validated by the programme tutors for the students
- Field trips (one week each): Las Vegas (USA), Paris (France)
Meetings with professionals of the events industry to know more about their business. Cost included in programme fee - 2 contests (2 weeks each): team work on a real business issue given by a company
- 1 work placement. Minimum of 5 months: June - December
Dissertation or integrative business project
Students complete a 12,000 - 15,000-word Master-level dissertation or integrative business project
Opportunities
Companies spent 7% of their annual budget in events-based communication. Because of the rapid growth in this field, companies are seeking flexible, well qualified and trained people.
The International Events Management double degree programme provides students with means of developing high-level management skills and knowledge specific to the field of events management. It constitutes a response to the demands of events industry professionals in the area of higher education. Future graduates will be able to enter the sector as:

- € 10,900 non-EU citizens or professionals

Admission procedure
- The admission decision is taken after close evaluation of the application
form including CV, personal statement and reference letters. - English language certification required for non-native speakers : IELTS 6,5, TOEFL CBT 230 or IBT 88, or TOEIC 790.
