MSc Tourism and Leisure Management
Objectifs

Acquiring such managerial skills required to fill executive positions in firms and organisations in the tourism and leisure sector, with an emphasis on the ability to identify and analyse management issues specific to this industry.

Public concerné

  • Holders of undergraduate degrees.
  • Professionals with Honours Degrees or equivalent.


Pédagogie

  • One year full-time (Sept-Dec & Jan-May) at Centre International de Deauville, Normandy, France.
  • 228 hrs - 7 modules.
  • One 5 –week consultancy project supplied by the programme.
  • 6 field seminars in relevant locations – Meetings with executive from public and private bodies operating famous venues or sites (Honfleur, Deauville, Mont St Michel, Paris, Disneyland Paris).
  • 2 one -week residential seminars in Paris, Marrakech (Morocco).
  • One 4-6 month internship (to be served anywhere in the world).
  • One research project.
  • The MSc is entirely taught in English, by faculty from the University of Brighton (UK), the Normandy Business School and professionals from the tourism and leisure industry.


Débouchés

Graduates take up positions such as product executives with travel agents, account executives with convention organisation firms, marketing and /or communication managers for resorts, or tourism development officers in local or regional authorities.

Diplôme / Validation de la formation

Double award :
  • MSc Tourism and Leisure Management de l’Ecole de Management de Normandie (accredited by the French Conférence des Grandes Ecoles).
  • MA Tourism Management (University of Brighton UK).

  • € 8,500 for EU citizens

  • Application form with supporting documents.
  • English language certification required for non-native speakers : IELTS 6,5, TOEFL CBT 230 or IBT 88, or TOEIC 790.
  • Deadline : 1st session June 21, 2010 / 2nd session August 23, 2010.
