MSc International Events Management

I made the right choice!

Fang Qi
Fang Qi
Chinese student,

Fortunately I got to know EM Normandie from their website in 2011, when I considered taking a post graduate education in France. At that time, I was looking for a programme which is more practical and close to real business. Indeed I definitly wanted not only to study academic knowledge but also have the opportunity to work with professionals and learn from them.

Today, I believe I made the right choice! In fact, during the programme I have been involved in three business projects, carried out for famous French event companies, I really learned a lot of useful and practical skills from them. And the most fabulous thing is, that I am in contact with one of the directors i got to know in a project, whose event company just launched a branch in China,  I’d like to work for it and it's really a chance for my future career!

EM Normandie changed my vision on my future career

I am from Romania, but for the last three years I have been living in the United Kingdom undertaking a Bachelors Degree in Events Management. Even though my student life was excellent I did not feel fulfilled and prepared to enter the working life. The events industry is really competitive so I was in need of an added value, something to differentiate myself.

That is why when I discovered the Master Degree in International Events Management I was highly excited as the complex program of theory and practice and the extensive professional experience offered were what I needed to be able to enter confidently in the business environment. Furthermore, Deauville is an amazing town to study a master’s degree and the lovely people that helped me and befriended me are still really appreciated. I can honestly say that EM Normandie changed my vision on my future career and helped me become a successful and accomplished individual and professional.

UK Student,

I was looking to pursue my studies further after gaining an undergraduate bachelors degree in a International Business Management course. My interests' lay in the Events Industry, which encouraged me to look into a masters degree that offered academic elements as well as practical experience, deriving from the passion I have to travel and experience new cultures. The International Events Management course offers the right balance of studying in a international environment, along with equipping me for the working world.

EM Normandie has helped me to achieve my goal in pursuing a career within Events Management with a double degree. It has also providing me with warm memories and helped me to extend my social network with the students and professionals.

Bery challenging and enriching to get a real work experience

I first discovered that I wanted to work in Event Management through the school’s associations that allowed me to organize a music Festival in Caen and through my first year internship. Then, to be sure that I was going in the right direction, I decided to undertake a one year internship between my first and second year of Master. Sarah LEBOULANGER, graduate from the International Event Management Master, helped me to get in contact with people from this industry. I then found an internship in New York, which allowed me to get a real work experience. It was very challenging and enriching for me.

Working internationally gave me the opportunity to build up a professional network and to improve my organization skills. This experience did comfort my decision to follow the “International Event Management” Master which is so far completing my field skills with a real academic knowledge.

The biggest added value of EM Normandie, the practical aspect and connection

Tchech Student,

I come from Czech Republic and this is my 2nd year studying at EM Normandie in France. I have a Bachelor degree from my home university and last year, I did an Erasmus exchange programme at EM Normandie Le Havre. It was a life-changing experience for my career and future plans and I decided to finish my studies here.

The biggest added value of EM Normandie is the practical aspect and connection with professional world. It allows students to utilize the knowledge they get in classroom directly in the real world unlike my previous studies in Czech Republic.

Getting a double degree in International Event Management gives me clear career path and opens doors for me all over the world.
